7 CITIES & TOWNS YOU MUST VISIT IN THE NETHERLANDS

Yes that’s just a good photograph, but trust me when I say, if you haven’t visited the Netherlands yet, you are missing out!! Let’s get right into it and talk about the best cities and towns you must visit once you land!

Amsterdam

Of course you need to go to Amsterdam. This has to be your first stop obviously. Amsterdam is one of Europe’s most visited cities is one of the most photographed cities as well. I am not surprised, I mean, look at that picture above….. Make sure to try some of the things that may not be allowed in your country, if you know what I’m saying HA! There is a lot to see, so leave at least 3 days to visit! You can go visit the Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and also go see the tingel Canal, Keizersgracht Canal, Vondelpark and Jordaan neighbourhood.

The Hague

This is the center for global judiciary decisions. If you like greenery and a grand city, this is it. It has beautiful architecture and perfectly manicured gardens at every where.

Leiden

You can reach Leiden by train from Amsterdam in less than 30 minutes, or by train from The Hague in just 10. This city is a good one stop, and it is perrrrfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam.

Delft

This is such a cute little city! I discovered it because a friend lives here, but you can go and visit it yourself! It is very close and easy to get to. It has lots of nice places to eat and I would highly recommend to go and check out!

Utrecht

This city doesn’t have your normal attractions you would expect when you go visit a new city; however what it does have is so many cute little cafes and places to chill and eat! If you want to feel like a local, this is your go to.

Rotterdam

This city is what people may perceive as the coolest… Do you know what happened here? iN 1940 the Germans pretty much wiped out the city, so everything here is unique and you won’t find an old town centre! It is known for its architecture and design.

Maastricht

This city is in a very unique location; its situated near the Belgium border and not far from either Germany or France. It’s really interesting because you can have some cool day trips to Cologne, Luxemburg or wherever else you may want to go to and explore! It is a very beautiful city, if you have spare time in your travels, I’d give it a go!
